Please join us in congratulating Adriana Fontaine, Executive Operations Associate, on being named SkyWater Search Partners Employee of the Quarter.
“I've been here for about a year and a half and throughout my time I've had the opportunity to be involved in different initiatives such as our highway cleanup and clothing swap, which has been extremely rewarding,” Adriana said. “It's been extremely meaningful to be a part of a workplace that encourages its employees to give back.”
One of our favorite ways of supporting our communities at SkyWater is through the Employee of the Quarter program, in which honorees are invited to name a nonprofit of their choice to receive a financial donation in their name, from SkyWater Search Partners.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, which has been observed across the United States each May since 1949, Adriana selected NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness of Minnesota) to receive this gift.
For more than 40 years, NAMI Minnesota has been supporting individuals living with mental illness, their families, friends, professionals and the broader community through education, support and advocacy. The organization is dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mental health conditions, while helping communities better understand the importance of mental wellness.
Through educational programs, support resources and public awareness initiatives, NAMI Minnesota helps individuals and families navigate mental health challenges and connect with the resources they need. They also advocate for policies and programs that expand access to care, reduce stigma and strengthen support systems throughout Minnesota communities.
Beyond its work with individuals and families, NAMI Minnesota also partners with employers who want to create healthier, more supportive workplaces. Their specialized training programs, educational resources and customized guidance have helped countless Minnesota employers better understand mental health issues and support their employees’ well-being by fostering workplace cultures where employees feel valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
"Mental health is a topic that is typically overlooked or ignored, and I think continuing on education and fighting the stigma around it is incredibly important," Adriana said.
Congratulations again, Adriana, and thank you for educating us all on NAMI Minnesota’s important work. We are proud to support them and grateful for the many ways you help make SkyWater a great place to work!
