Labor Day started as a tribute to the American worker. In 1894, it became a federal holiday after decades of labor movements pushed for fairer hours, safer conditions, and better pay. The original spirit of the day was simple: the people doing the work deserve to be seen, valued, and compensated fairly for it.
It’s the cold calm before the storm for the construction industry here in Minnesota. But while it may look quiet to the casual observer, every successful construction business leader is working hard, right now, to build the right team. Or, to put it more accurately, teams.
