That's a great question. While we at SkyWater don't source candidates for internship programs, we do have friends & colleagues at an incredible organization that does. In fact, this is one way we ourselves search for quality internship candidates for SkyWater.

[Achieve Minneapolis](https://www.achievempls.org/) is a non-profit organization in Minneapolis, MN that works with local employers to hire internships at both the high school and college level. For 20 years, their mission has been to foster career and college readiness for every student. 

### High School Internship candidates

The [Step Up](https://www.achievempls.org/stepup) program through Achieve Minneapolis and the City of Minneapolis is for high school students. Each year, Step Up trains and places hundreds of Minneapolis high school youth in paid internships and other career opportunities with over 200 Twin Cities employers.

This is your chance to learn more about this nationally-recognized youth employment program and how you can participate.

### College-level Internship candidates

The [Achieve College internship program](https://www.achievempls.org/achieve-college-internships-employers) is for college students. This newer internship program - which was created with the expertise Achieve Mpls gained through 20 years of managing Ste Up - connects college juniors with outstanding professional experiences, mentors, and networks in the Twin Cities that help launch their careers.

### What kind of employers partner with Achieve Minneapolis?

More than 200 employers in approximately 15 industries partner with Achieve Minneapolis each year. These employers:

- Are able to employ youth.
- Are willing to pay interns according to industry standards.
- Are accessible by public transportation.
