Congratulations, Allie Bornstein!

At SkyWater Search Partners, we’re understandably proud of our team. That pride has grown exponentially over these past eighteen months, as we’ve watched everyone pull together, support each other, and never lose focus on serving our clients. Now, more than ever, we’re reminded that SkyWater is more than a company of executive recruiting experts; we’re people who care deeply about investing in our community.

We’re also a very celebration-oriented company. One of our guiding principles, when we founded SkyWater Search Partners, was that we would always lead with gratitude, saying “thank you” on multiple levels, in ways that are personal, meaningful, and reflect the values of our team members and our organization. Today, we are very excited to expand our employee recognition program that does exactly that.

Every quarter, we have honored a top-performing employee at our company-wide quarterly recap meeting. Going forward, we will also be making a substantial financial gift to a community service organization they support.

Congratulations, Allie Bornstein, Senior Associate, for being our most recent Employee of the Quarter! Here are the organizations she has chosen to receive our donations...

...Allie couldn’t choose just one, so the following four organizations – each near and dear to Allie – will receive donations in her honor.

Camp Kesem

Camp Kesem is a national organization dedicated to supporting children impacted by a parent’s cancer, at no cost to families.

“As someone who lost my father to cancer when I was 25 years old, I have a first-hand understanding of the impact cancer and losing a parent can have on families,” says Allie. “I can’t imagine how much harder it would have been if we had lost him when we were younger. Camp Kesem is where kids can go to just have some fun, be with others who understand their experiences, and take a break from the heaviness and sadness that loss can bring into your life.”

Girls Who Code

Girls Who Code is a national organization committed to closing the gender gap in tech.

“I believe so strongly in encouraging young women to pursue careers in STEM.  Girls Who Code is one of the best non-profits at providing resources, education, and support for girls to start envisioning themselves in this space at a young age.”

Mossier

Mossier is a Twin Cities-based organization dedicated to advancing employment equity for everyone LGBTQ.

“Mossier was founded by one of my most memorable students, Nick Alm. Mossier provides resources and programming to advance employment and workplace belonging for everyone LGBTQ and I would love to inspire more support of this amazing non-profit organization.”

Minneapolis Animal Humane Society

The Minneapolis Animal Humane Society is an organization whose mission is to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals.

“I just love animals and I believe my own commitment to community service was largely shaped by the time I spent volunteering with the Humane Society when I was young. Sadly, many animals who were adopted during the height of the pandemic are now being returned to the shelters and I know they could use some additional assistance, especially right now.”

On behalf of everyone at SkyWater, congratulations again, Allie, and thank you for educating us on these important organizations and why you admire them. We are proud to join you in supporting them (and we weren’t even surprised to learn that you’re making additional, personal donations to Mossier and the Minneapolis Animal Humane Society).
