SkyWater Team Updates

One of the things we talk about often at SkyWater is focus. In a market where hiring needs can shift quickly, being clear on where we spend our time and how we show up for our clients matters.

Lately, that has meant leaning further into individual strengths and aligning our team in a way that allows us to move more efficiently and create more opportunities across the firm.

We’re also seeing a recurring theme across the market: organizations are becoming more targeted in their hiring. There’s less volume for the sake of volume, and more emphasis on finding the right expertise at the right time. That shift puts a premium on specialization, relationships, and the ability to move quickly when needed.

With that in mind, we wanted to share a few updates from our team.

Expanding how we build relationships

Josh Schneider has been with SkyWater for over seven years and has played a key role in building our presence in the Chicago market, particularly within Accounting & Finance. Over that time, he has developed strong client relationships and helped expand our reach in that market.

He will now be focused on client development in a Principal, Client Development role, working across both Chicago and Minneapolis to build relationships, develop new partnerships, and bring new searches into the firm.

Deepening specialization across Financial Services and Accounting & Finance

We continue to see strong demand across both Financial Services and Accounting & Finance, particularly for talent that can step into roles with immediate impact.

Teige Ehlen is continuing to build within the Financial Services space, joining our broader Financial Services team and partnering with organizations on searches across banking, lending, and related functions.

Courtney Johnson and Mike Anderson continue to focus on Accounting & Finance, joining our broader A&F team and supporting work across markets, including ongoing engagement in Chicago. Their work centers on placing talent across core accounting and finance functions, from individual contributors through leadership roles.

Investing in areas of continued demand

We are also seeing steady demand within construction, particularly across project management and field leadership roles.

Jon Persico is continuing to build within that practice, joining our Construction team and partnering with organizations on hiring needs across project management, operations, and field leadership.

We’re excited about where this focus is taking us and the value it creates for the organizations we partner with. As the market continues to evolve, we’ll keep building in ways that help our clients move forward with confidence.
